Nope it didn’t disable mine. All it is doing is erasing the data on the amazon/silk App Store….like resetting just the App Store. Our tablet was a gift so it was ordered from a different Amazon account..not sure why but that messes up something with the App Store on the tablet. So you have to erase (reset) that data.
